Donald Rineer is a shareholder and director with Auman, Mahan & Furry, practicing in the firm’s business group. Donald works with closely held businesses in various industries, financial institutions, construction contractors and owners, trade associations, real estate investors and many other types of businesses. As an experienced business attorney, he routinely assists clients with their day-to-day business “legal” needs, working efficiently and providing practical advice and solutions, but he also represents businesses in significant and high stakes events. Donald has been involved in virtually all types of contracts and transactions that a business can encounter.

Donald represents and counsels the firm’s business clients in complex and sophisticated transactions, buying and selling businesses (Mergers and Acquisitions), contract negotiations (including drafting and reviewing business contracts), corporate and securities, real estate, construction and mechanics’ liens, technology, and litigation matters.  He acts as general and corporate counsel to numerous closely held entities formed under the laws of Ohio, Delaware, Indiana, Florida and many other states. Donald is also experienced in assisting local and national non-profit entities and trade associations in various industries. His corporate practice includes formation of start-ups and subsidiaries (corporations, LLCs and LPs), buy-sell agreements, shareholders agreements, close corporation agreements, reorganizations and recapitalizations, and many other corporate activities. Donald’s securities practice includes private placements, debt and equity financings, and due diligence reviews.

Donald is highly responsive to clients and works to understand their business needs. While he counsels clients on the specific legal issue of the day to find practical and efficient solutions, Donald also looks to implement protective measures for the future.  Donald understands the issues and realities that business owners face and uses this understanding to counsel clients proactively to minimize and avoid potential legal problems down the road.

Donald is a member of the Ohio State, Indiana State and Dayton Bar Associations, and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Indiana. He is frequently a speaker on business and construction topics to various groups both locally and nationally.

Donald received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and his law degree from the University of Dayton, graduating cum laude, where he was an associate editor of the University of Dayton Law Review.
